The eighth grade graduated! Now what?

Last week, our eighth grade students took the stage one last time.

Don’t they look ready for high school?  They have worked hard over the years.  They have presented eight academic exhibitions as a part of their graduation requirement.  Read hundreds of books.  Solved thousands of math problems.  And so much more.

We had no choice but to graduate them.

We are so proud. And a little sad, too. Each of these students has left a mark on Mustard Seed School.  They have shared their gifts. Made an impact on younger students. We will miss them terribly. But we know they have what they need to be successful in high school.  We are grateful to count them among our alumni.

Where are they going?

So glad you asked! Below is the list of high schools that accepted members of the class of 2014.  An * indicates schools where members of the class of 2014 have enrolled.

We also celebrated MSS Founder and Early Childhood Director Ms. Pargellis for her 35 years of service.  35 years!  She has planted a lot of seeds over the years.  Mr. Postema presented her with a beautiful painting by former MSS teacher Maureen White.

Every student received a button or certificate honoring them for a character quality that they bring to our community.
