When Your Child Is AbsentIf a student is absent or late for any reason, parents are asked to call the school office before 9:00 am. In addition to the phone call it is important that parents send a note explaining the absence or late arrival when the student returns. Arrival and DismissalBefore School The school doors are opened at 8:10 AM to allow students to come upstairs. The sidewalks at the corner of 5th and Willow are not play areas, and running and ball playing are not allowed there at any time. After School If any student is not picked up after school by 3:15 the teacher will direct the student to the office. Parents must pick up and sign out students from the school office. Snow Emergency/School ClosingSchool closings are announced through a "phone tree" to students' homes. Also a taped message will be on the school phone (201-653-5548) by 7:15 AM. |
