Support for Mustard Seed School

Mustard Seed School is only able to carry out its mission because of the faithful support of generous donors. Since its founding in 1979, gifts and donations have permitted the school to award financial aid to families that cannot afford full tuition. In addition to gifts of money, the school is supported by prayer and by volunteer efforts from individuals, churches, school families, businesses and community groups.

Individual donors number more than 1,000. These generous supporters live all over the United States and, indeed, all over the world. Regular support comes to the school from friends in Africa, Asia, and Europe.

More than 25 churches support the work of the school. Many of these churches are in Hudson County and assist the school in gratitude for the work it does educating children in their congregations. Other local churches direct volunteers to the school and provide financial gifts as part of their community outreach programs. Many churches in northern New Jersey want to help with the challenges facing the urban community, and especially support programs that benefit children.

Scores of local businesses help the school financially. They appreciate the impact our school "family" has in Hoboken and Hudson County.

Because of its proven track record in a challenging urban setting, Mustard Seed School has won the support of numerous foundations, corporate giving programs and matching gift companies.

A more complete detailing of donor support is available in the Mustard Seed School Annual Report. Please call the school if you would like one.

Every gift makes a difference. This web site is a perfect example. Special thanks go to Yunho & Suzanne Song and Coleman Fung for providing the ongoing encouragement and financial support to make it possible.
